For the second year in a row, Deda Stealth and ORS will take center stage at the Supply Chain Planning Observatory of the Politecnico di Milano, contributing to the discussion on one of the most pressing and complex topics: sustainability in the fashion and luxury supply chain.
During the event, two significant academic studies on sustainability will be presented—one with a cross-sectoral perspective and the other focused exclusively on the fashion industry.
This will be followed by an engaging panel discussion featuring Maurizio Vaggi from ORS and Viktoriia Shiriaeva from Deda Stealth, who will explore a key concept: there is no sustainable supply chain without traceability and intelligent data management. Digitalization, often viewed as the ultimate goal, is just the first step toward building more transparent, responsible, and future-oriented processes.
We will bring our hands-on experience to the table, sharing real-world cases where technology has enabled:
- the collection and management of raw material certifications;
- multi-level traceability systems to enhance transparency;
- upcycling projects with a social impact, benefiting local communities.
A key focus will also be on generative AI—a compelling technology for optimizing production, improving forecasts, and reducing waste. However, it must be used thoughtfully. When applied to an untracked supply chain, it risks amplifying inefficiencies instead of solving them.
Technology is not the solution, it is the tool.
The real challenge lies in building supply chain models that are more local, circular, and fair—and AI can become a strategic ally on this journey.
